ABOUT
Hi, I’m Lynda, a photographer based in Gardner,KS. My work is inspired by the quiet beauty of the prairie-wide skies that stretch for miles, weathered barns that stood through generations, and the peaceful back roads through the countryside.
Many of my photographs are discovered while my husband and I drive in our older Ford truck named “Pete”. We take our time out there, watching the light change across open fields and noticing the small details that make Kansas special. Sometimes it’s a lone barn standing against the sky, a gravel road disappearing into the distance, or wildflowers blooming along a fence line. Those quiet moments are where I find most of my images.
Photography actually started for me many years ago while hiking when I lived in San Diego. Back then I was simply taking pictures on my cell phone capturing the beauty I saw along the trails. Over time, that small hobby has grown into something much more meaningful. In 2024, my husband surprised me with a Canon R8, that encouragement took my photography to the next level. Today, I sell prints of my work, offer framed photographs at farmers markets, and share my images in gallery settings.
The Kansas prairie teaches you to slow down and notice the quiet beauty around you. Through my photography, I hope to share a small piece of that feeling.
